Applied Food and Beverage Service course is designed for students to apply the skills and techniques acquired in Basic Food and Beverage Service to further with the three course meal full service to guest. They will be handling more complex service and managing time in order to achieve the quality objective.

Barista course is designed to equip students with the capabilities and knowledge to handle barista service techniques, especially in the area of food and beverage service. Students will be exposed to the concept of cafe and will get familiar with coffee, tea and other drinks product often served in outlets. On the other hand, this course completed with the inclusion of barista techniques during service, offering students the opportunity to manage more complex service.

SHB20172 BEVERAGE STUDIES

Beverage Studies is designed to exposed students to various types of beverages either hot beverages or cold beverages commonly served in food and beverage establishment (restaurant, bar or hotel). On top of that, students will learn method of preparation for these beverages. Moreover, they will explore the main principles of mixology and bartending for preparation of mocktail using various techniques (build, stir, shaken and blend). Finally, the students will learn about alcoholic beverages especially handling basic wine service technique

SHB20192 COST MANAGEMENT IN FOODSERVICE OPERATIONS

Cost Management for Foodservice Operations module will allow students to perform independently some of the basic calculations commonly used in hospitality. This module enables students to prepare some documents for practical subjects requiring calculation and will make students more independent in a real working environment.

Basic Food and Beverage Service course emphasize on specific services which must be taken into consideration and provided by tourism and hospitality businesses.
